Fellowship for British Hairdressing – Colour Project 2011

The Fellowship Colour Project's fourth training day was a Studio 54 themed photo shoot held at the Ask Academy, London, with mentor Tanya Hennessey. Tanya assisted the students with the clothes styling as well as co-ordinating the day. Given a £50 budget for clothes on the morning, the students created their final looks for the shoot in the afternoon, directed by Chris Williams (international colour director, Rush Hair) and Jo O'Neil, (Toni & Guy international education technical director).

It was a pleasure to shoot the Fellowship's Colour Project again this year. The students displayed a high level of talent and enthusiasm, each one interpreting and encapsulating the Studio 54 theme perfectly. All in all a very successful day and they now have a fantastic collection to show for it!

Once again, an exceptionally high standard was demonstrated by the Fellowship's students at the Wella World Studio in London for the Colour Project 2010 photo shoot. Many thanks to Mark Creed at the Fellowship, also to Tony and Tanya Hennessey (Hair XS) for all their help on the day. The resulting collection is shown below:

Hair XS in Nottingham make it through to the Grand Final of the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2010 at this years North Western regional finals in Manchester.

Fellowship for British Hairdressing – Colour Project 2009

An exceptionally high standard of hairdressing was displayed by the Fellowship's Colour Project students this year. Every colour of the spectrum was covered from Poppy Red fused with jet hues through to Buttery Blondes that were exquisetly suffused with candy pink. Biker-glam inspired accessories play perfect foil to the leather and shorter hair to ensure this collection was pure glamour with power-dressed tough quiffs and edges. With artistic direction by Paul Scully from Scully and Scully. I would like to thank Carol Spencer and Mark Creed at the Fellowship for a fantastic day. I love reading about designers and understanding where their inspiration comes from. I open my eyes to everything, looking at many colours and identifying what might be the key colour for the year.
